On the morning of December 13, 2019, the Aulin College of the Northeast Forestry University and the Western Development Research Institute jointly held the Unveiling Ceremony of the Belt and Road International Education Cooperation Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Science. The Unveiling Ceremony was held in Room 609 of the Aulin College. This marks that the Northeast Forestry University has become an important part of the international education cooperation of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Dean Liu Zhiming, Deputy Dean Dong Hui, and Huang Wenzhe, Director of the International Accounting and Financial Professionals Development Research Center of the Western Development Research Institute, and other relevant staff, attended the Unveiling Ceremony.
Before the Unveiling Ceremony, the two sides had exchanged cordially and expressed a good vision for future cooperation. It is hoped that in the future cooperation, the two sides will complement each other, carry out comparative education research, accumulate successful experience in the reform of talent training modes, provide the NEFU students with more overseas education resources, and cultivate more NEFU students with international vision and patriotic feelings.
The Western Development Research Institute is a branch of the China Western Development Association under the management of the Chinese Academy of Social Science. Its main function is to actively participate in exercising China’s Belt and Road Initiative and provide theoretical basis in the areas of economy, science and technology, education, and people’s livelihood for the cooperation and development of countries along the Belt and Road.
The founding of the Belt and Road International Education Cooperation Research Center jointly by the Aulin College and the Western Development Institute will provide the NEFU students with comprehensive guidance and services in preparation for studying abroad, overseas internships and job seeking, and international scientific research cooperation. It will also contribute to the development of more in-depth international talent education and training programs.
After the Unveiling Ceremony, Dean Liu Zhiming accompanied the representatives of the Western Development Research Institute to visit the offices and teaching areas of the Aulin College.
