In order to strengthen the management of the teaching process and improve the quality of undergraduate teaching, at 14:00 on November 22, 2019, Aulin College held a teachers’ symposium in Room 609. The meeting was chaired by Dong Hui, Deputy Dean of the college. Dean Liu Zhiming, teaching supervisors An Tiehuan, Sun Molong, Jiang Li, Yu Haiyan, and teacher representatives Jia Peiyun, Chen Yu, and Zhao Yuzhang attended the symposium.
At the meeting, Dean Liu Zhiming conveyed the overall running ideas and educational philosophy of the Aulin College, emphasized the shift from teaching-oriented to learning-oriented under the guide of the OBE concept, and he hoped that the teachers would make good use of the diverse teaching resources of the Aulin College, stimulate the enthusiasm of students to learn independently from the aspects of curriculum design, teaching content and teaching methods, and thereby improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning.
Afterwards, the supervisors and teacher representatives discussed the problems in the teaching process, including the problems on curriculum teaching, staff and student management etc. Finally, Deputy Dean Dong Hui interpreted the responsibilities of the teachers, and affirmed the teaching attitude and teaching level of the teachers. She hoped that the teachers should organize teaching from various aspects such as the curriculum outline, curriculum design, teaching links, etc. under the guidance of the OBE concept, so as to improve students’ consciousness and creativity in learning.
During the symposium, the opinions and suggestions of teachers are carefully collected, which provide a solid foundation for further forming a more excellent teaching team and improving the teaching quality.
